Introducing Mosaic - a hub to manage all your safety functions

Reer's Mosaic safety controller is capable of reliably monitoring several safety functions of machinery and plant equipment.

The safety controllers are configurable and scalable, and we can offer them in a range of models, starting off with a very efficient and entry level option. This model allows for cost reductions as minimal wiring is required. We can also offer a lifetime free software complete with validation, monitoring and simulation features.

Mosaic can simultaneously manage safety sensors and signals such as: Light curtains, photocells, laser scanners, emergency stops, electromechanical switches, guard-lock safety door switches, magnetic switches, RFID switches, safety mats and edges, two-hands controls, hand grip switches, encoders and proximities for safety speed control.

Advantages
  • Reducing the number of devices and wiring used and, therefore, the overall size of the project
  • Accelerating control panel construction
  • Allows tamper-proof system configurations
  • All logic is configured through a graphic interface
  • No more laborious wiring required as per traditional solutions
  • A lower number of electromechanical components also means a better performance level and, therefore, a higher safety level
  • The project report provides the actual values of PFH, DCavg and MTTFd according to EN 13849-1 and EN 62061

Software module makes image processing easier
The new weQubeVision software module with pattern matching makes Wenglor’s Smart Camera even simpler and more intelligent. Thanks to edge-based object detection, complex image processing applications can be easily implemented in just three simple steps. This along with intuitive product configuration and the cost and space-saving design are vital for users of industrial image processing. The free software license is available in the hardware variant with auto-focus or with C mount threaded connection.

Unique honeycomb strain relief for cables and hoses
Igus introduces another world first: Universal strain relief saves engineering and assembly time whilst keeping cables and hoses safe in motion. The strain relief system ensures cables and hoses can simply and gently be pressed into the honeycomb. It is then closed, whereby the outer walls of the honeycomb cavities are pushed gently but extremely tightly around the cables. The honeycomb can be mounted in seconds; in comparison to the often used cable tiewraps or other strain relief solutions, saving about 80% assembly time.

Connection technology in hygienic design
Hygiene is the top priority in the food and beverage industry. This also applies to the components used in connections. We offer a comprehensive range of cables, connectors and accessories from Lapp Group that meet strict global requirements. The SKINTOP® HYGIENIC cable gland, for example, meets the toughest hygiene standards and is certified to EHEDG specifications thanks to its shape and material. Made from stainless steel, with FKM elastomer used for the seals, it has no corners and edges to which food residues could adhere.
