New bulkhead-surface mounting enclosures with M25 cable entry — true vertical side-by-side compatibility

THE CHALLENGE
As industrial systems grow in complexity, efficient space utilization becomes a key design constraint.

ILME’s 21.21 enclosure series has been continuously expanding to meet this need — reducing footprint and volume while offering increasingly flexible wiring options.

The new bulkhead-surface mounting enclosures with M25 cable entry are the latest addition: for the first time, they bring surface-mounting capability with vertical configuration to the 21.21 version, eliminating the need to step up to a larger housing size.

THE SOLUTION

These housings can be mounted ‘side by side’ to reach more compactness in the installations, avoiding size step setup (e.g. using a 49.16 enclosure).

 

We now have two different types of surface-mount configurations available in our series: vertical and side-entry (already existing).

 

The series development also allows the connection of a surface-mounting housing to an angled hood (e.g. MKA VA20/25) increasing overall flexibility.

 

These enclosures are designed to accommodate the bending radius of large cables with conductor cross-sections up to 6 mm² (AWG 10) and are available in different versions, according to the application needs.

 

SMALLER FOOTPRINT WHERE IT MATTERS
Standard version

MKA PI25 and MKAX PI25 respectively with rigid, galvanized steel lever (1) and C-Type, stainless-steel lever, (2). Both open bottom with built-in flange. Suitable for Heavy-Duty requirements.

 

W-Type version
MKAXW PI25 with C-Type stainless-steel lever and open bottom with built-in flange, for aggressive and high demanding environments.

 

EMC version

MKAS PI25 and MKAXS PI25, which meet electromagnetic compatibility, respectively with rigid, galvanized steel lever (3) and C-Type stainless-steel lever (4). Both open bottom with built-in flange.
