Treotham has expanded its wide range of igus iglidur round bars with four materials; among them two for the food sector: the heat-resistant material iglidur AC500 and the resilient material A250. The extremely hard-wearing material iglidur H3 and the particularly wear-resistant endurance material iglidur E complete the product range. This makes it possible to mill and turn lubrication-free and maintenance-free prototypes and special components for a wide variety of applications.

Even tried and tested structures have potential for improvement. One example is the classic trapezoidal thread, which igus has refined. Thanks to a special geometric interaction between the lead screw nut, which requires no lubrication or maintenance, and the metal lead screw, dryspin technology promises a long service life, improved efficiencies, low wear and less movement noise.

Roller chain links reduce drive energy for the E4.1 energy chain series by 37%

Good news for users of the igus E4.1 energy chain series: newly developed roller chain links reduce required drive power by 37%. This allows customers to reduce their electricity costs in times of sharply rising energy prices.

Treotham Automation was established in Sydney in 1992, selling chains and accessories out of a garage by founder and current owner Mikael Paltoft. Since then, Treotham has expanded it’s product range through energy chains, chainflex cables, polymer bearings and flexible conduit systems. Specialists in harsh and demanding industrial environments: Type 2K Wenglor photoelectronic sensors are the latest additions to the PNG//smart product series from Treotham. Thanks to their robust stainless steel 316L housing with IP69K protection, they can withstand intensive high-pressure cleaning up to 100 bar at temperatures up to 80 °C, aggressive cleaning agents, coolants and lubricants, as well as mechanical influences and corrosion.
